The Jamner assembly seat of Maharashtra falls in Jalgaon district and Raver Lok Sabha constituency. State Water Resources Minister Girish Mahajan has won this seat five times in a row on BJP ticket and the BJP has also expressed confidence in him in this election. Will he be able to give victory to the BJP in this assembly or will the crown of victory in Jamner go to someone else? The total number of voters in Jamner assembly constituency is 2,78,356 and the total population here is 3,49,957. This time, votes will be cast for the assembly elections in Maharashtra on November 20 and the results will be known on November 23.

In the 2019 assembly elections, Girish Mahajan defeated NCP candidate Sanjay Bhaskar Rao, while in the 2014 assembly elections, Girish Mahajan defeated Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader Keshav Digambar Patil. by 35,768 votes. Girish got 1,03,498 votes, while NCP candidate Keshav got 67,730 votes. Also in 2009, 2004, 1999 and 1995, Girish Mahajan won this seat on the BJP ticket. While in 1990 and 1985 the Congress was in control, in 1980 the INC(U) was formed after parting ways with the Congress, in 1978, 1972 it was independent and in 1967 and 1962 the Congress was in control.
