Jalandhar Crime News (Aaj Samaj), Jalandhar: Today, once again, the Jalandhar Dehat police have achieved great success in the drive being carried out against criminals in the state. The police team arrested the accused in the murder of AAP leader Sunny Cheema in January along with weapons. The arrested accused is the main henchman of gangster Amritpal Singh Bath, who is hiding in Canada and on his instructions, used to commit crimes in the state. The arrested accused has been identified as Jagdeep Singh Gill, Tholu, resident of Tarn Taran district.

The police took action based on secret information.
Giving information about the arrest of the accused, Superintendent of Police Harkamal Preet Singh Khakh said that based on secret information, the police team arrested the accused while he was going towards Phillaur. He said the police team had received information that Jagdeep Singh was going from SBS Nagar to Phillaur. Based on this information, the police immediately set up a blockade and under the supervision of DSP Sarwan Singh Bal, detained the accused and arrested him. Police recovered a .32 caliber pistol and a car from the accused.

The accused admitted that he was in direct contact with the Baaz.
Giving more information, SSP Khakh said that during preliminary interrogation, the accused accepted that he was working on direct instructions of gangster Amritpal Singh Bath who was abroad.
