Chandigarh News (Aaj Samaj) Chandigarh: Haryana’s new chief secretary Vivek Joshi took charge today. Previously, TVSN Prasad was the chief secretary of Haryana. TVSN Prasad retired on October 31. Following TVSN Prasad’s retirement, Anurag Rastogi was appointed as acting chief secretary. Earlier, Joshi was sent back to his original cadre from the Center on October 26 itself.
Since then it was believed that only Joshi could become the new Chief Secretary of the State. Vivek Joshi was handling the responsibilities of Secretary of the Personnel and Training Department of the Centre. Previously, he had also held the position of secretary of the Ministry of Finance. Vivek Joshi has been on Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s good list. Before assuming office, Chief Secretary Vivek Joshi met Chief Minister Nayab Saini. After the arrival of Vivek Joshi to the post of chief secretary, Anurag Rastogi himself will be relieved.
