- Cyber branch recovered 14 lost mobile phones worth Rs 2 lakh and handed them over to their owners: SP

Giving information to Pooja Vashishtha, Superintendent of Police Charkhi Dadri said that while the cyber cell is playing an important role in fighting crime and criminals, the cyber cell team in charge of the district, chief of police Sandeep Kumar, has collected important clues and will inform the general public in the month of September 2024. The portal has done a commendable job in locating 14 missing mobile phones worth around Rs 2 lakh. Today at the SP office, the owners of the said mobile phones were called to the office and the mobile phones were handed over to them. The people present on this occasion expressed their gratitude to the police.
He also praised the cyber cell team that played an important role in locating the mobile phone. The SP said the cyber cell of the district police has managed to trace 63 mobile phones worth around Rs 16 lakh so far in 2024 by tracking missing mobile phone complaints received on the portal. The specialty of this portal managed by the Government of India is that after registering a complaint on it, the IMEI of the mobile is blocked and once the mobile is tracked, information is provided to the complainant.
SP Charkhi Dadri Pooja Vashishtha said that this is a commendable work of cyber cell police. He said that while mobile phone owners are happy to get them back, their phones have also been saved from falling into the hands of criminals. He said Cyber Police Charkhi Dadri is continuously monitoring the missing mobiles. As a result, the lost mobile phones have been recovered by the police team. The SP also appealed to the general population to keep their mobile phones completely safe. In case you lose your mobile phone, immediately block your number and inform the nearest police. So that people with criminal tendencies cannot misuse the lost mobile phone.
