Deputy Commissioner Partha Gupta said that in the district, a child up to 21 years of age who is dependent on his parents due to his death, absence from his father’s house for the last 2 years or long imprisonment of the parents, which is not less than one year, or is deprived of it due to mental or physical disability and whose parents or guardians’ annual income from all sources does not exceed two lakh rupees. Such a child is entitled to receive financial assistance provided by the Department of Justice and Social Cooperation, Government of Haryana. He said the above department provides pension of Rs 1,850 per month per child up to two children in a family.

DC said that the person who wants to avail the benefit of the above scheme must have a destitute certificate, a birth certificate issued by the Department of Child Health and the document proving that the applicant has resided in the state of Haryana for a period of five years or more. such as It is necessary to have a family identity card along with an authenticated photocopy of the voter card or ration card, etc. with photography. He said if the applicant does not have any of the above documents, he can submit an affidavit of residence in Haryana for the last 5 years along with any other certificate. He said that if the parents or guardians of the child receive family pension from any government, they will not be able to avail the benefits of the above-mentioned scheme. Applicants who wish to avail the benefits of the scheme can apply at the nearest CSC center including Antyodaya Saral Kendra, Atal Seva Kendra.
