Fatehabad News | Fatehabad. Deputy Commissioner Mandeep Kaur has instructed all procurement agencies to remove the procured rice at the earliest. All procurement agencies should remove more than 90 percent of the rice procured by Thursday. Apart from this, all procurement agencies must also keep in mind that payment is made to the farmers within the stipulated time frame.

He ordered that payment of 100 percent of the procured rice be made to the farmers as soon as possible. On Monday, she was reviewing rice procurement works and held a meeting of rice procurement agency officials and market committee secretaries at the Mini Secretariat auditorium.

Giving directions to expedite lifting from procurement centers of Bhundarwas, Brahmanwala, Jakhal, Dharsul, Nanheri, Boda, Chandpura and Babanpur, the deputy commissioner said that the average lifting in these procurement centers is less, hence more of 90 percent lifting. It should be ready by Thursday. Along with this, he told all procurement agencies that they must make purchases on the stipulated days. No day should be missed. Procurement in the district should be completed by November 15.

He informed that so far five lakh 95 thousand 366 metric tons of rice have been purchased in the district. Agencies will have to speed up lifting work. So far, 5 lakh 25 thousand 625 metric tonnes of rice have been harvested from the mandis. This survey must be carried out as soon as possible.

He said procurement agencies have so far paid Rs 1,203.26 crore to farmers, which is 99 per cent of the increase. He said this should be done 100 percent. On this occasion, officials and employees of procurement agencies including DFSC Vineet Jain, GM Rajesh Hooda, Market Committee Secretary Mahavir Singh, Sandeep Lohan, Balwan Singh and Yashpal Mehta were present.
