The target of the attacks was the province of Jabaliya, in northern Gaza, which has been under Israeli bombardment for several weeks. Regarding this attack, Israel says it is trying to prevent Hamas from regrouping.

Also on Saturday, three Palestinian children were injured when an Israeli drone attacked a makeshift clinic during a polio vaccination campaign in Gaza. The incident occurred as health workers launched an emergency polio vaccination campaign for children under 10 years of age in Gaza City.
This child vaccination campaign is already underway in central and southern Gaza, but has been postponed in the north due to the unstable military situation.
