According to army officials, the MIG-29 fighter jet had taken off from Adampur in Punjab and was due to land in Agra. This flight was under routine exercise. According to sources, just before landing, there was a technical fault in the plane and the plane began to fall rapidly. Seeing that the situation was getting out of control, both pilots of the plane jumped with the help of parachutes. The Air Force has ordered a court of inquiry into this matter.

According to local people, flames were coming out of the plane and descending from the sky, but as soon as the plane touched the ground, the flames began to touch the sky. After this, within a few minutes the entire plane began to burn.
