Tension spread in a residential area of Belagavi in Karnataka on Sunday night when some unidentified people put up a poster of Mughal emperor Aurangzeb, describing him as the true founder of united India. However, as soon as the information was received, the police removed this poster.
Called “Sultan-e-Hind” on his birth anniversary.
According to police, some youths had put up a big poster at Shahu Nagar Circle on Bauxite Road in the city on Saturday night. In the poster, the longest-reigning Mughal emperor Aurangzeb was called “Sultan-e-Hind” on the occasion of his birth anniversary. Seeing the possibility of worsening atmosphere, the police removed the poster on the instructions of the Belagavi City Corporation. Along with this, FIR has been registered against unknown youth who had put up objectionable posters. The BJP has demanded the arrest of the accused in this case at the earliest.
Controversy over posting Aurangzeb’s photo in DP
Actually, many types of controversies have arisen regarding the Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb. In June last year, a controversy came to light in Maharashtra regarding Aurangzeb. The controversy over the installation of Aurangzeb’s DP had come to light. A case was registered against a person in Navi Mumbai because he had a photo of Aurangzeb in his WhatsApp DP. The man was detained, but was released after being questioned. The police had registered a case against the person under sections 298 and 153-A of the IPC.
