Jewelery worth Rs 1.75 crore and Rs 35 lakh was stolen from the residence of former SP MLA Madhubala Pasi of Bhadohi, located in Sidhwan industrial area in Rampur police station area of Jaunpur, on Sunday at night. The thieves entered the house by breaking the grill on the kitchen window. After this, they took away the jewelery and cash kept in the safe and the iron cupboard. Former MP Madhubala Pasi was in Delhi when the robbery took place.
Upon receiving information about the robbery, the SP Additional Criminal Unit and police officers from the police station arrived at the scene. Madhubala Pasi is in Delhi to celebrate the festival of Diwali. The house was run by its driver, Rajesh Yadav. In this regard, the MLA’s nephew Rakesh Kumar has lodged a complaint at the Rampur police station.

The thieves have made away with jewelery worth Rs 1.75 crore and Rs 35 lakh. He said Madhubala Pasi is currently in Delhi. Her husband is director of the Ministry of Railways in Delhi.
Case registered due to complaint by the former MLA’s nephew
Giving information in this regard, Madiyahu area officer Vivek Kumar said that based on the complaint of the MLA’s nephew, the police have registered a case. The forensic team has carried out an on-the-spot investigation. The suspect is being detained and questioned. Police said the matter will be revealed soon.
