Some serious incident keeps happening with Chinese nationals living in Pakistan. In recent years there have been terrorist attacks against many Chinese citizens. Meanwhile, a surprising case has come to light in the city of Karachi.
A security guard at a factory in the city of Karachi, Pakistan, shot two Chinese nationals after a heated argument. Both Chinese nationals were seriously injured in this incident. Both have been admitted to Karachi’s Liaquat National Hospital for treatment. According to the hospital spokesperson, the condition of one of the two injured is critical.
A Chinese company had stopped operating
Recently, just two days after the suicide attack on a hydroelectric project in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan, the Chinese company had stopped its work in this area. Five Chinese citizens died in this terrorist attack. After the company closed, more than 2 thousand people who worked there were laid off.
Chinese citizens working on CPEC project
After the explosion, Pakistani Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif ordered a joint investigation into the attack. Let us tell you that thousands of Chinese employees are working on many projects in Pakistan in connection with the $60 billion China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) project.
There was also an attack near Dasu Dam.
The first such major attack on Chinese civilians took place on July 14, 2021, a few kilometers from the Dasu Dam in Kohistan. Nine Chinese engineers and four Pakistani employees were killed in this incident. More than 23 people were injured in this attack.
