Punjab CM’s big statement on incidents happening in Canada
He said the central government should talk to the Canadian government to avoid similar incidents in the future.
Punjab CM News (Aaj Samaj), Chandigarh: The impact of recent alleged Khalistani attacks on Hindu temples located in major cities in Canada is also visible in Indian politics. On the one hand, while the Central Government had openly condemned the attacks on temples, today the Chief Minister of Punjab, Bhagwant Singh Mann, has also expressed his deep concern over these attacks.

He called it very condemnable and said that the Punjabi community has adopted Canada as its second home. The Chief Minister said that there are a large number of Punjabis living in cities like Surrey and Toronto, who believe in the principle of Sarbat Da Bhala and have made their mark there through hard work. Bhagwant Mann has appealed to the Government of India to reach out to the Government of Canada so that such incidents can be prevented in the future.

SGPC has also expressed its objection.
Earlier, Ram Singh, member of the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC), expressed concern over the recent tension between India and Canada. He has described it as a serious and worrying issue for both countries, which may have a negative impact on their historical relations. Ram Singh said that India and Canada have always had good relations, which is why many people from Punjab have made Canada their home.

Many of them have obtained citizenship and are building their lives there. Ram Singh said the deterioration in bilateral relations has increased tensions among Indians settled in Canada, especially the Punjabi community. Canada is often called a “mini Punjab”, and this conflict between the two countries has become a cause of concern for Indians settled there.
