A shocking murder case has come to light in Jabalpur district of Madhya Pradesh. The most interesting thing about this murder mystery is that flies have played an important role in its resolution. Thanks to the great attention of the police, the evidence found at the crime scene and the flies, the murderer was arrested. He initially pleaded not guilty, but as soon as police used the third-degree charge, he confessed to his crime.
This story begins with the discovery of a corpse. On October 31, an unidentified body was found lying in a field in Deori Taparia village in Jabalpur district. On receiving the information, the police reached the spot and after investigation identified the body as that of Manoj Thakur alias Mannu (26), who had left home to go to work on the morning of October 30, but did not return until the night. He was last seen with his nephew in a market.
The police sent Mannu’s body for an autopsy and began searching for the killer. Evidence was being collected at the scene. There was a crowd of people. At the same time, Chargawan police station in-charge Abhishek Pyasi noticed a person. He had red eyes. Some flies buzzed on the clothes. He immediately signaled to the police and, upon suspicion, the person was arrested. A forensic examination of his clothing was carried out.
During the forensic investigation, it was discovered that there were blood stains on his clothes, to which flies were stuck. The station attendant said: “When I asked about the person, I saw that there were flies attached to his clothes, so I suspected there were blood stains. Since he was wearing dark-colored clothes, the blood stains were visible.” Without paying, the forensic team examined the clothes and found that they had blood stains.
Additional Superintendent of Police (Rural) Sonali Dubey said the accused has been identified as Dharam Thakur. He is the nephew of late Manoj Thakur. He initially pleaded not guilty, but later confessed to his crime. After questioning him, it came to light that he had gone with his uncle. This was also confirmed by CCTV footage. He was last seen with the deceased in a market in Chargawan.
The accused and his uncle had bought liquor and chicken. But then there was a dispute between the two over money. The dispute escalated so much that a fight broke out between them. Meanwhile, the drunk accused attacked her with something studded with nails. As a result, he suffered serious injuries. He died after some time. After this, the accused fled from there. The weapon used in the murder has been recovered.
