Late on Monday afternoon there was a discussion with the officials of the concerned departments at the Commissioner’s Auditorium regarding the preparations for the Chaudah Kosi, Panchkosi Parikrama and Kartik Fair. Divisional Commissioner Shri Gaurav Dayal presided. IG Praveen Kumar, DM Chandra Vijay Singh, SSP Rajkaran Nayyar, Ayodhya Development Authority vice-chairman Ashwini Kumar Pandey and other officials were present in the meeting.
In the meeting, the Divisional Commissioner said that widening work is being carried out at 14 Kosi and Panch Kosi Parikrama Road. Since the construction materials are found in sporadic places on both sides of the parikrama route, the route should be smoothed out by removing them immediately. Wherever GSV has been placed on the Parikrama route and gravel has been removed, sand should be added there to make it suitable for Parikrama participants to walk barefoot.
He said that due to the construction of Parikrama Marg, the permanent electricity and lighting system has been damaged at some places. Keeping this in mind, fair officials should ensure temporary provision of lighting at such places and proper barricades should also be placed at places where there are potholes. He said that for effective implementation of the instructions, a WhatsApp group should be created in which photographs of daily progress should be posted. Electrical poles falling on the parikrama route should be covered with plastic.
Addressing the Municipal Corporation officials, he said that for basic facilities of circumambulators on the parikrama route, their work should be monitored by deploying chain sanitation workers for adequate number of mobile toilets, drinking water supply and cleaning. The Divisional Commissioner told the Health Department officials that adequate number of medical teams should be deployed during the Parikrama and adequate number of ambulances should also be made available, so that immediate medical facilities can be provided to the devotees.
Inspector General of Police Shri Praveen Kumar said that along with magistrates and police officers, railway officials should also be deployed at railway junctions on the parikrama route so that they can coordinate with railways and devotees do not face inconvenience. during the parikrama. He said that in those places where the parikrama route is narrow, adequate number of public address systems should be provided so that announcements can be made continuously. He said there should be strong barricades near pipelines, wells, etc. under construction.
Addressing the gathering, District Magistrate Chandra Vijay Singh said that keeping in mind the possibility of a historic crowd being organized at the parikrama for the first time after the consecration of Lord Shri Ram, all preparations should be completed and they must provide all facilities for Parikramas coming for the parikrama arrangements must be made in advance to ensure that it is available on the route itself. He said officials of all implementing organizations related to Parikrama expansion should remain on tour and rectify all arrangements.
Senior Superintendent of Police Rajkaran Nayyar briefed through PPT about the arrangements to be made regarding the police department during the Parikrama Fair and directed the magistrates and police officers deployed at all service points to will work in mutual coordination.
During the meeting, additional district magistrate Nagar and fair officer Salil Kumar Patel presented pointed details about the work done by various departments at Parikrama/Kartik Fair. City Superintendent of Police Madhuban Kumar Singh, Additional Municipal Commissioner, Chief Engineer of Public Works Department, District Information Officer, Executive Engineer Jal Nigam, PWD and senior officials of other concerned departments were present in the meeting. .
