A program based on environment protection was successfully organized by Gandhi Memorial National College, NCC Unit of Ambala Cantonment under the guidance of College Principal Dr. Rohit Dutt at Sikh Higher Secondary School, Ambala Cantonment. Giving information, Captain Dr SS Nain, in-charge of NCC Unit, said that NCC cadets organize programs from time to time in schools of the district and nearby villages in order to create awareness about protection of the environment. Addressing all the school children present at the programme, he said that environmental protection means improving the quality of the environment, protecting and maintaining it. To save the environment, we should plant as many trees and plants as possible, use less plastic and promote solar energy.
College Principal Dr. Rohit Dutt while giving the message on environment said that together we will eliminate pollution and clean our environment. Man remains the greatest miracle of this world and also the greatest problem of this earth. It is the common responsibility of all of us to make the environment clean and beautiful for our future generations. He praised the cooperation of the principal and staff members of Sikh Higher Secondary School and thanked all the cadets for enthusiastically participating in such activities. On this occasion Dr. Saroj Bala was especially present and also about 40 NCC cadets contributed to the environmental awareness campaign.
