(Panipat News) Panipat. World Tsunami Day was celebrated on the premises of SD Higher Secondary School. The function was presided over by the school’s principal, Rekha Sharma. He informed the children about the tsunami. He noted that in December 2015, the United Nations General Assembly declared November 5 as World Tsunami Awareness Day and called on countries, international organizations and civil society to raise awareness about tsunamis and share innovative approaches. for risk reduction. He told the children that tsunamis are huge waves generated by earthquakes or volcanic eruptions under the sea.
Tsunamis do not have much effect in the deep sea. On this occasion, many students of the school also gave speeches on the environment. In which the speech of Rohit, Arpan and Lucky of class 11 was highlighted. On this occasion, the principal of the school, Mr. Pramod Bansal, said that by organizing such programs awareness is created among the children about the environment. The school principal Mr. Fakirchand ji explained to all the students their duties towards the environment. In the end, the principal, manager and principal of the school along with the students took an oath to save the environment and honored all those children who have made a special contribution in this programme. On this occasion, all the students and teachers of classes 6 to 12 of the school were present.
