An important Cabinet meeting of the Madhya Pradesh government was held on Wednesday under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, this meeting began with the singing of Vande Mataram. Many important decisions were made at this meeting. The meeting included decisions such as holding the next Regional Industry Summit on December 7 in Narmadapuram, improving elephant management and promoting tourism activities based on permanently settled elephants in the Umaria-Bandhavgarh region.
After the meeting, Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav said that the state government is organizing Govardhan Puja to preserve cultural heritage, which will increase love for cows in the state and promote milk production. He also said that the recently organized Regional Industrial Conclave in Rewa has received encouraging support from industrialists and investors, which will generate investment proposals worth Rs 31,000 crore and around 28,000 employment opportunities. The next Regional Industry Summit will be held in Narmadapuram on December 7, 2024.
Vice President will inaugurate Kalidas ceremony
The Chief Minister said that on December 12, Vice President Shri Jagdish Dhankhar will inaugurate the All India Kalidas Festival in Madhya Pradesh. Additionally, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated Neemuch, Mandsaur and Seoni medical colleges and handed out appointment letters to Ayurvedic doctors, bringing new gifts in the field of medicine in the state.
Assistance amount increased from Rs 8 lakh to Rs 25 lakh
The Chief Minister announced that the state government will increase the assistance amount for loss of life caused by wild animals from Rs 8 lakh to Rs 25 lakh. Discussions have been held with the Chhattisgarh government to obtain information on the movement of elephant groups and their management so that such incidents are not repeated.
He said that more than 100 elephants have permanently settled in the forest areas of Umaria and Bandhavgarh and the Hathi Mitra Plan will be implemented for their management. Under this scheme, working groups will be formed and standard operating instructions will be implemented. The Chief Minister said that Madhya Pradesh has achieved the first position in the country in tiger and leopard conservation in the state and now efforts are being made to promote elephant-based tourism.
