Former British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak and his wife visited Nanjangud Sri Raghavendra Swamy Math located in Jayanagar, Bengaluru with his family. During this, Rajya Sabha MPs Sudha Narayan Murthy and Narayan Murthy were also present with him. During this, Sunak prayed and lit lamps as part of the rituals for the month of Kartik.
Senior Mathematics Manager, RK Vadindracharya gave him the clothes and sacred fruits of Sri Raghavendra Swami. The priests and temple staff welcomed him with Vedic chants.
Sunak has been praising the Hindu religion.
Rishi Sunak has also been visiting Hindu temples in Britain. Even during the elections in Britain, he visited a temple in London, where he described religion as a source of “inspiration and comfort.” During this, Sunak had said: “I am now a Hindu and like all of you, I too draw inspiration and solace from my faith. I am proud to take the oath as a Member of Parliament on the Bhagavad Gita.”

Sunak, who calls himself a “proud Hindu,” added: “Our religion teaches us to do our duty and not worry about the consequences, as long as we do it honestly. My wonderful, loving parents taught me that. And that’s how I I try to live my life. And this is the religion that guides my approach to public service. Sunak’s party had to face defeat in the last election.
