A 42-year-old man was stabbed to death in a village in Kushinagar, Uttar Pradesh. At the time of the attack, he was preparing to file a complaint against a local youth for harassing his niece. The police gave this information on Tuesday. According to the police, Satish Yadav was allegedly attacked by Satyam Tiwari and Shivam Tiwari. At that time, he and his elder brother, Vijay, were on their way to the police station to report the repeated sexual abuse of their niece by the accused.
Based on Vijay Yadav’s complaint, an FIR was registered against the Tiwari brothers and their father Anand Tiwari at Kasya police station. An official said Anand Tiwari has been arrested, while Satyam and Shivam remain absconding.
Kushinagar Additional Superintendent of Police Ritesh Kumar Singh said efforts are on to nab the accused. Vijay Yadav said, “My brother will never come back, but I want the culprits to be punished severely so that justice is done.”
According to family members, Satish has three young children: 12-year-old Anushka, 10-year-old Kritika and 18-month-old Yuvraj. I used to run a fertilizer store. His niece, who was allegedly repeatedly harassed by Satyam Tiwari while on her way to school, had earlier spoken out about the incidents that worried her family. Police said this continued despite Vijay’s attempts to confront Satyam to resolve the issue, prompting the brothers to seek police intervention.
