Patna: To ensure the comfort and safety of passengers who have come home to celebrate the festival on the occasion of Chhath Mahaparva, East Central Railway has announced that it will operate 446 special trains from November 8 to 22. We inform you that this time, compared to last year, 77 more special trains will run so that people can alleviate their problems. Furthermore, for the safety of passengers, 24-hour surveillance through CCTV cameras has also been arranged at the stations.

Chairman of the Railway Board held a meeting

Railway Board Chairman and CEO Satish Kumar reviewed passenger facilities, safety and other preparations for the Chhath festival through a video conference on Tuesday. East Central Railway general manager Chhatrasal Singh and top department heads also participated in the review meeting. At the review meeting, the President informed that 446 long-distance special trains will be operated this year from November 8 to 22. We tell you that in the same period last year, 369 special trains operated.

These trains will be operated

On November 8, 35 special trains will run from Barauni, Darbhanga, Danapur, Gaya, Jaynagar, Muzaffarpur, Patna, Raxaul, Saharsa, Samastipur and other stations to various important stations in the country. Apart from this, passenger waiting areas have been created at other major stations including Patna, Danapur, Rajendra Nagar Terminal, Saharsa, Muzaffarpur, Darbhanga. Additionally, continuous announcements are made at stations so that information about train movement is easily available.
