Ambala News: Ambala. A 15-day workshop on National Curriculum Framework (NCF) is being organized for teachers of PM Shri Kendriya Vidyalaya No. 2, Ambala Cantonment. The aim of this workshop is to provide teachers with an understanding of the new curriculum and sensitize them to the latest pedagogical techniques. The workshop was inaugurated by the school’s in-charge principal, Richa Jain. In his inaugural address, he said that this workshop will help teachers understand and adopt modern teaching methods and assessment processes in line with the National Education Policy 2020. In the workshop, there will be in-depth discussions on the principles of the National Curriculum and its practical usefulness in several sessions by experts in the field.
On the first day of the workshop, Babita Thakran, postgraduate professor of Geography, gave a lecture on the topics “Objectives and curricular areas of school education”, “Standards and learning contents”. Babita Thakran said that the objective of National Discussion Framework is to provide knowledge to students as well as develop in them a sense of morality, scientific attitude and social responsibility, and the objective of education is that our students can become self-reliant in every sphere of life, whether science, art, culture or technical field. Later, the second speaker, Shweta Rohilla, Graduate Professor of Computer Science, while presenting a lecture on pedagogy and assessment, said that the objective of education is not only to impart information but also to develop understanding, skills and values. in the students. Pedagogy is the science and art of how a teacher can teach students, understand their needs and provide them with a conducive environment where they can learn. This includes teaching methods, teaching styles and the use of a variety of teaching resources. The teaching community found these workshops extremely beneficial and said they could improve their teaching skills.
