Ambala News: Narayangarh. Till the last day, 829143 quintals of rice had reached Narayangarh grain market and Bharedi and Berkhedi purchasing centres. Of which 821,674 quintals of rice have been acquired. Giving information in this regard, Market Committee Secretary Akhilesh Sharma said that paddy uplift has also increased now. He reported that 667,676 quintals of paddy rice have been raised. He said that on the last day (November 4), 12,775 quintals of rice arrived and 24,518 quintals of rice were lifted. Rice is obtained by supplying food in the market. Arrangements have been made in the market for electricity, better water supply, etc. He reported that up to 17 percent moisture is being achieved in the rice. Common Grade A rice is available in the market and is purchased at MSP Rs 2,320 per quintal. Market Committee supervisor Jasbir Kumar said 81 per cent of paddy in the grain market has been raised. He reported that in 2023-24, 726,479 quintals of paddy rice were purchased. While until the last day of 2024-25, 821674 quintals of rice have been purchased.
