Ayodhya. The administration has intensified preparations to organize Chhath Puja. During the festival special attention will be paid to his divinity and greatness. The administrative staff has also started preparations in this regard in Ayodhya. A large number of police personnel along with cleanliness measures are being deployed at the ghats. A large number of people celebrate Chhath Mahaparva in Purvanchal. A special enthusiasm can be seen among the devotees to celebrate this festival in every corner of Ayodhya district. Apart from Guptarghat and Nayaghat in Ayodhya, women fasting on the banks of rivers in Gosaiganj and Rudauli offer Arghya to the setting sun. The sale of fruits and vegetables is in full swing in the markets.

The four-day Chhath Puja began with Nahay-Khay on November 5. On November 6, fasting women will perform Kharna Puja. After this the 36-hour Nirjala fast will begin. On November 7, fasting women will stand in the river in waist-deep water and offer prayers to the setting sun. The next day, November 8, prayers will be offered for the happiness and prosperity of the family by offering Arghya to the rising sun from the ghat.

The main celebration of Chhath Mahaparva takes place on the banks of rivers. Municipal commissioner Santosh Sharma said that on the instructions of the Chief Minister, measures are being taken for cleanliness on the banks of Saryu in the Municipal Corporation area. Instructions have been given to better maintain the lighting system, so that the fasting women and their families who come to offer Arghya in the evening and morning do not have to face any kind of problem.

With the beginning of the four-day Chhath festival, the hustle and bustle in the markets has increased. Police patrols have increased from town to village. SSP Rajkaran Nayyar said all jurisdictional officials have been kept on alert. Surveillance has been increased from the market to the ghat.
