Murder of youth in Kapurthala (Aaj Samaj), Kapurthala: In Begowal village of the district, a young man found it costly to lend money to an acquaintance. When the young man asked for the money back, he was murdered. It was only 40 thousand rupees. Following the complaint of the deceased’s relatives, the police registered a murder case against the accused couple and launched an investigation. Police say the accused will be arrested soon.

In the complaint lodged with the police, the deceased’s uncle Kulwant Singh, a resident of Nangal Lubana village, said that his nephew Manpreet Singh had lent Rs 40,000 to Gurpreet Singh about two months ago. He asked for this amount from Gurpreet Singh several times, but he does not return the money. Gurpreet Singh and his wife Ramanpreet Kaur had many disputes over this. Also recently, when Manpreet demanded the return of the money given to the said couple, both of them started fighting with their nephew.

Not only this, Gurpreet Singh came out of the house and took out a sharp weapon. As soon as he returned, he attacked Manpreet Singh several times on the head. Manpreet Singh was injured and fell to the ground. He and his brother Lakhwinder Singh immediately rushed the injured Manpreet Singh to Bhultha Civil Hospital, from where the doctor referred him to Kapurthala Civil Hospital for first aid as his condition was critical.

Doctors in Kapurthala referred him to Amritsar, where he died during treatment. The police of Begowal police station have registered a murder case against Gurpreet Singh and Ramanpreet for committing a revenge attack on them for demanding money and have launched a search to arrest them. After the death of a youth who was injured in a fight while taking money, the Begowal police have registered a case against the accused husband and wife.
