He said- Safety kits will be given to employees working on power lines
The target of Prime Minister Surya Ghar Yojana will be achieved on March 31, 2025.
Chandigarh News (Aaj Samaj) Chandigarh: Haryana Power Minister Anil Vij, while briefing officials, said that in case of transformer failure, the department should ensure power supply in 2 hours in rural areas and 1 hour in urban areas. He also ordered officials to provide safety kits to employees working on power lines. Vij was holding a review meeting with Energy Department officials. The Energy Minister directed officials to take appropriate measures to stop electricity theft. If a consumer is caught stealing electricity, strict action should be taken against him. Apart from this, several technical measures should be taken on priority to reduce losses in power lines.
It also directed that meter testing laboratories in the state should be approved by the NABL. He further said that strict action will be taken against the affected electricity workers if they demand electricity cables from the consumer after installing a new electricity connection. Vij said the capacity of all stations across the state that have heavy load should be increased. Apart from this, he also ordered to know the load of the transformers and said that if the connection load is high, then the transformer should be upgraded. He said a plan should be prepared to provide government houses to the department employees.
People should be made aware to take Prime Minister Surya Ghar Yojana forward.
Vij said the Government of India has been given a target of providing 1 lakh connections to Haryana under Prime Minister Surya Ghar Yojana. More than 7 lakh connections have been provided in the state under Prime Minister Surya Ghar Yojana. To further increase this, people will be informed through various means. You were also instructed to complete this objective by March 31, 2025.
