He began political life from student politics.

When Ravindra Singh Bhati was studying in college, he was active in student politics. Ravindra did his early education in a school in the village itself. For further studies, Ravindra came to Jai Narayan Vyas University located in Jodhpur. From here student politics began. In the year 2019, the All India Council did not name Bhati as a candidate for the post of chancellor of the university. After this, Bhati contested the elections as an independent candidate and in the year 2019, he was elected as the president of the Students’ Union as an independent candidate. This was seen in Jodhpur University after 57 years, when an independent candidate won the students’ union elections.
