Chandigarh News (Aaj Samaj) Chandigarh: Haryana Women and Child Development Department Minister Shruti Choudhary directed the officials of the Women and Child Development Department to work for social change by raising awareness among women. So that the objectives of the department’s schemes can be achieved. He said that recruitment will be done in the vacant posts as per norms. In the meeting, the Minister got information about the problems related to recruitment in the vacant posts. He said for the welfare of women and children in the state, officials should actively work on implementing plans at the grassroots level focusing on vitamin D distribution, skill development and nutrition among women. He said Anganwadi workers can play an important role in the awareness campaign on water conservation and not burning stubble. That is why the department launched a special campaign in this regard.
These are also related to the nutrition of women and children. At the meeting of department officials, the Minister stated that nutrition, affection and empowerment of women and children are the focus of the department’s programs. Prepare an action plan chart for the development of all the schemes running around them and start working on it. So that it can be reviewed from time to time. The minister obtained information from officials about the progress of the plan. Obtained detailed information on the quality of food provided to women and children under the nutrition plan and its distribution. He said officials should increase mutual cooperation on plans being implemented in coordination with other departments. She herself will also visit the country to see the implementation of the plans at the ground level. Apart from this, officials must also visit the ground and ensure that the benefits of the schemes reach the last children and women targeted by the scheme.
Officials should ensure that there is no lax attitude on the department’s website. The department’s website must be updated at all times. It should be designed in such a way that the common man can understand the schemes. The scheme links on the website should be updated in such a way that when people open the website, they can go to the link, understand the schemes and take advantage of them without any problem. Any negligence in updating the website will not be tolerated. She will open the website herself and view it every day.
Women should be trained to make products from coarse grains.
Work must be done to involve young people in the department’s awareness campaigns. She obtained information on the distribution of fortified flour, rice, panjiri and milk among women and children. He also discussed with the officials over the construction of Mahila Chaupal and new Anganwadi centers included in the party’s resolution letter.
Necessary instructions were also given to the officials regarding the standards of development, weight and height, etc., of children up to six years of age in the state. He brought the report of the training program to the women and ordered them to work more seriously in this direction. Instructions were also given to provide employment to women by training them in making products from coarse grains.
