Delhi-Mumbai Expressway (Aaj Samaj), New Delhi: The 24-kilometre stretch of the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway from Mithapur to Kaili junction in Faridabad is now ready and is likely to be opened for vehicles on November 12.
Plan to start testing soon
There is a plan to start your testing early so that any deficiencies can be identified. The construction works of this highway were to end in September in the district, but they are already completed. The total length of the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway is 1,350 kilometers and through it the journey from Delhi to Mumbai can be completed in 12 hours.
Underpass in these places
Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the Sohna-Dausa stretch on February 12, 2023, and the DND to Kalindikunj portion of the flyover is now expected to be completed by March 2025. Several entry and exit points have been created on the Faridabad Highway such as Sector-30 Etmadpur, Sector-28, Buselwa Colony, Khedipul and near BPTP Bridge. Underpasses have also been built in these places.
People will be relieved of the traffic jam.
Deputy District Commissioner Vikram Singh said that with the opening of the expressway, the people of Faridabad will be relieved from traffic jam and the pressure of vehicles on the expressway will also be reduced. Apart from this, drivers crossing the canal towards Palwal and Gurugram will be able to use this bypass, making their journey more comfortable.
Strict stance towards wrong-way driving: deputy commissioner
Apart from this, the deputy commissioner has also said to adopt a strict stance towards wrong side driving. He has directed the police department to immediately issue a challan to those driving on the wrong side, to reduce the possibility of accidents.
