For the first time, there will be announcements in multiple languages at Prayagraj railway stations in Mahakumbh.

Mahakumbh 2025, intangible heritage of humanity, brings new gifts for the people of Prayagraj. The twin-engine government at the national and regional levels has set the goal of making Mahakumbh divine and grand, as well as clean, safe and accessible. Keeping this in mind, the Prayagraj Railway Board is making all-out efforts to provide maximum facilities to the devotees coming to Mahakumbh. In this sequence, Prayagraj Railway Board is arranging for announcements in multiple languages for the first time in Mahakumbh. With this, people who speak and understand different languages of the country will be able to easily get information about trains in their language.

Devotees will find it easier

Prayagraj Railway Board is leaving no stone unturned to meet the dual engine government’s target of making Mahakumbh 2025 an accessible and safe Mahakumbh. On one hand, the Railway Board is carrying out the work of expansion and beautification of all railway stations in the city, while on the other hand, all necessary arrangements are being made to facilitate the travel of devotees. Amit Malviya, senior PRO of Prayagraj Railway Board, said that for the first time in Mahakumbh 2025, the Railway Board will make announcements in multiple languages. Devotees speaking different languages from all corners of the country and having difficulty understanding Hindi or English will benefit from this.

The announcement will also be made in 10 regional languages.

Senior PRO said the Railway Board is taking steps to advertise trains in multiple languages at all major stations in the city. Keeping in mind the diversity of languages in India, the announcement will be made in 10 other regional languages along with Hindi and English. These include ads in Gujarati, Marathi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, Bengali, Assamese, Oriya and Punjabi. For this, the Railway Directorate calls for announcers from different divisions, who can easily make announcements in their regional language. He said that in addition to the station platforms, loudspeakers will also be installed in the shelters. There is a plan to detain pilgrims at shelters as per their destination so that devotees face minimum problems and can easily return to their homes after Maha Kumbh bath.
