For the first time, artificial rain occurred in pollution-stricken Delhi-NCR. This shower was organized at the DLF campus located in Sector-82, Gurugram. Let us tell you that currently people are worried about pollution in Delhi-NCR. People suffer from diseases such as burning sensation in the eyes, difficulty breathing, etc. All the measures taken by the Delhi government regarding pollution are proving insufficient.
The pollution level in Delhi is continuously increasing. In recent days the air quality in Delhi is very bad. The AQI has been recorded above 367 at various monitoring stations in Delhi at 9 am on Thursday morning by the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), which is a cause for concern.
The AQI level is now approaching 400. Currently GRAP-2 is implemented in Delhi. According to the different stages, if the AQI crosses 400, the CAQM issues instructions to implement GRAP-3. In such a situation, it is now believed that GRAP-3 could soon be implemented in Delhi-NCR.

Given the level of pollution, artificial rain was carried out at the DLF campus located in Sector-82, Gurugram. Last Wednesday, Delhi Environment Minister Gopal Rai said the Delhi government plans to provide artificial rain through cloud seeding this month to tackle air pollution.
What is artificial rain?
Cloud seeding is a scientific method of changing the climate, by which rain is artificially created. During the cloud seeding process, small planes fly through the clouds, leaving behind silver iodide, potassium iodide, and dry ice (solid carbon dioxide).
After this, water droplets begin to accumulate in clouds, which begin to fall on the earth in the form of rain. Artificial rain caused by cloud seeding is more intense than normal rain.
