Notorious Jharkhand gangster Aman Sahu’s wish to become an honorable person is now becoming a reality. He is preparing to contest the Barkagaon assembly elections. His mother Kiran Devi bought nomination papers from the Ramgarh sub-divisional office on Wednesday to contest the elections from Barkagaon assembly constituency of Hazaribagh district. Aman is currently remanded in Chhattisgarh’s Raipur police till October 28.
Aman Sahu Crime Story
Aman Sahu is a resident of Matbe, a small village in Ranchi and has more than 100 cases registered against him in Jharkhand, including extortion, murder and extortion. He had also been a staunch Naxalite at some point and had formed his own gang around 2013. After the Korba shooting, Raipur police arrested 4 of his gang members. After the recent incident of firing outside a business associate’s house in Raipur’s Shankar Nagar area, the Raipur police are arresting and questioning him.
Connection to Lawrence Bishnoi gang
Aman Sahu’s name is also linked to notorious gangster Lawrence Bishnoi. According to sources, Aman used to provide henchmen to Lawrence and in return received high-tech weapons. The name of Aman gang also cropped up in the July 13 shooting case at the builder’s office in Telibandha area of Raipur.
NIA and ATS investigation
Let us tell you that Aman Sahu was raided by the NIA in January 2024 in the terror financing case. During this time, off-road vehicles, CCTV DVRs and some bank documents were seized from their locations in Hazaribagh and Chi. Recently, it also came to light in the ATS investigation that Aman’s links are related to Lawrence Bishnoi.

The last date for nomination in Barkagaon assembly constituency is October 25. Aman Sahu’s mother Kiran Devi said they are trying their best to file the nomination before the last date. The Election Commission also receives information about all criminal cases registered against Aman.
