Shraddhalu Raman, Rajkumar Mahato, Chandradev Singh, Chiman Sharma, Phool Kumar Sahni, Vinu Mahato, etc. They said that according to the scriptures, fasting without water is observed for 36 hours on six festivals.

The Chhath festival is worshiped for the prosperity and peace of the family, for the birth of a son and for the long life of the husband. This festival is celebrated on Shukla Paksha Chhath. The Chhath festival is celebrated by worshiping the Sun for four days. On the day of Nahay-Khay, they fast by eating pumpkin and rice. After that it is celebrated as Kharna. During this fast you remain without drinking water for 36 hours. Chhath is celebrated with faith and devotion in Bihar and eastern Uttar Pradesh.

Chhath festival is also celebrated in foreign countries including Bihar-Uttar Pradesh.

The next day, they offer argya to the setting sun and celebrate by offering argya to the rising sun the next morning. This festival has been celebrated for centuries. On the day of Kharna, after offering Prasad to Chhathi Maiya, he began a strict 36-hour waterless fast. Sweet rice prasad was made with jaggery and Suhari. Devotees offered Prasad only after offering Chhathi Maiya. On Thursday evening, the devotees along with their families reached the Hansi Branch canal located near Pindara, Rani Talab, Jayanti Devi temple and by paying obeisance to the setting sun, the devotees received blessings from the Sun God for the happiness of the children. and the well-being of the family.

On the fourth day of November 8, offerings will be made to the rising sun. On this same day, fasting devotees will perform Parana after Arghya. Vijay Singh of Purvanchal said that Chhath Puja is celebrated every year with great enthusiasm as a big festival. There is a three-day holiday, especially in Jharkhand, Bihar, Bengal and Madhya Pradesh, regarding Chhath Puja. Purvanchal Cell coordinator Santosh Kumar said Chhath is a great festival whose roots are not from today but from the period of Ramayana and Mahabharata. Devotees wait for the Chhath festival throughout the year.

By performing Chhath Puja, devotees receive blessings from the Sun God for the happiness of children and well-being of the family. It has great religious and cultural importance. Worship of Chhathi Maiya is performed on the day of Kharna. This fast is observed for physical and mental purification. The prasad made on the day of Kharna is consumed only after offering it to the gods. Kharna fast is a symbol of dedication and devotion towards God.
