Gate stampede in Baba Bageshwar story
Bhilwara: There was a stampede-like situation regarding entry at the Katha VIP gate of Bageshwar Dham Peethadhishwar Dhirendra Shastri in Bhilwara, Rajasthan, when people were not allowed entry even after having VIP passes. During this, a stampede-like situation occurred after an altercation between people and security personnel. Many women were also injured in this. At the same time, people have accused the organizing committee of failing to make arrangements even after granting VIP passes. In this matter, Baba Mahant Banwarisharan of Kathiya also accused the committee of negligence regarding the arrangements.
The woman made these accusations.
The injured woman Chandrakala Somani said we have a VIP pass. But when we started to enter, they kicked us out. Because of this there was chaos for some time. If there was no seating in VIP, why were so many passes issued? If we had lost our lives now, what would have happened to them? The police are also behaving badly with us.
Mahant Banwarisharan said this
At the same time, the saint in whose presence Katha is being organized, Baba Mahant Banwarisharan of Kathia, said that police and administration are providing security, it is a good thing, but the arbitrariness that is being done is wrong. There was no discussion with us about the VIP pass. Katha Samiti coordinator Ashish said we are making passes, but many people have made duplicate passes. That’s why we are preventing them from entering.
