UPSC Mains Result 2024 Expected Date and Deadline: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the result of UPSC-I Combined Defense Services Examination 2024 (UPSC CDS-I). Now the candidates who have taken the Civil Services Examination (Main) 2024 are eagerly waiting for their Mains Result (UPSC CSE Mains Result 2024). The result of UPSC Civil Services Main Examination will be released soon on the official website of the Commission (UPSC) upsc.gov.in. From the pattern of last five years, let us understand when the result can be released.

The UPSC Civil Services Main Examination was held from September 20 to 29, 2024. The UPSC Main Examination Result 2024 will be declared in the form of a merit list containing the roll numbers of the selected candidates. Apart from this, the Commission also declares the result according to the name of the UPSC exam on its official website. Once the evaluation of all 9 papers is completed, the Commission will release the list of roll numbers and names of qualified candidates for the next stage i.e. personal interview.

UPSC Mains Result PDF 2024 will be compiled on the basis of marks of seven assessment papers while the remaining two papers (Indian and English language) are qualifying in nature. The total score for UPSC Mains result is 1750 out of 2025 and the official cutoff will be announced accordingly.

If we look at the release date of UPSC Mains exam and previous years result, IO declares the result within two to two and a half months after finishing the exam. In this context, it is expected that the results of the main exam held in September 2024 can be declared in the last week of November or the first week of December. However, the date and time of publication of the result have not been officially confirmed by the Commission. Candidates are advised to stay tuned to the official website for the latest information.

What happens after UPSC mains result?

We inform that after the declaration of UPSC Main Result 2024, the Commission will give an opportunity to the eligible candidates to fill the Details Request Form (DAF)-II for granting preferences in IAS, IPS, IFS and other services. After filling the form, candidates receive an e-admit card or call letter for an interview, also known as personality test.
