(Fatehabad News) Fatehabad. The English Department of Manohar Memorial College organized a district level literary quiz. Students from various colleges of Fatehabad district enthusiastically participated in this competition and demonstrated their intellectual abilities. Principal of the university, Dr. Gurcharan Das, who came as the chief guest for the programme, encouraged the teams coming from different universities, while the program was chaired by the head of the English department, Prof. Pratibha Makhija and Dr. Meenakshi Kohli did it.
Encouraging the students, Dr. Gurcharan Das said that there is no dearth of talent among today’s youth. These types of competitions provide a platform for youngsters to showcase their talent. Pro. Pratibha Makhija said that three students from each university participated in this competition. In the competition, there was first a written exam and then the competition took place in four different stages.
In this competition, team from Manohar Memorial College was the winner while team from CMG Government Women’s College, Bhodiyakheda stood second and team from Defense Degree College Tohana stood third. In the end, the winning teams received prizes. In the successful conduct of the competition, Prof. Shimpa, Preet Kaur, Chahat, Waris and Ritu had special contributions.
