4pm News Network: The QS Asia University Rankings 2025 list has been published, which ranks the best universities in the country and the world. In this list, IIT Delhi secured the top position by defeating IIT Bombay. IIT Delhi was ranked 44th and IIT Bombay was ranked 48th. IIT Delhi has emerged as the best university in the country. Let us tell you that the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi has secured the first position in India in the QS World University Rankings, Asia 2025. This position has been achieved thanks to the improvement of eight indicators, among which the number of employees stands out. with a doctorate, in which the institute has risen 58 places.
IIT Delhi has reached 44th position in the list of best universities in Asia. While IIT Bombay was ranked 48th, IIT Delhi performed well in the PhD staff criteria. IIT Bombay was the best on parameters like academic reputation and employer reputation, which is why both managed to find a place among the top 50 institutes.
Apart from these two, IIT Madras, IIT Kharagpur, Indian Institute of Science and IIT Kanpur also feature in the list of top 100 universities in Asia. IIT Madras was ranked 56th, IIT Kharagpur 60th, Indian Institute of Sciences 62nd and IIT Kanpur 67th.
In the South Asia category formed by the combination of India and Pakistan, IIT Delhi has secured the first position among a total of 308 universities from both the countries.

- Delhi University (DU) has taken a huge jump of 13 spots this year and has reached 81st position from 94th position last year.
- Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) is ranked 110th regionally. Chandigarh University was ranked 11th (120th rank).
- University of Petroleum and Energy Studies (UPES) stood at 148th position and Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) at 150th position.
