Big revelation about food companies
If you also like to eat things like noodles, cold drinks, chips or ice cream, now is the time to be careful. A report on many international companies manufacturing these products has revealed that these companies sell these foods in some countries, which are “bad” from a health point of view.
The report claims that these international companies sell “less healthy” products in poor countries compared to rich countries. They use ingredients that are not as effective for health as the products sold in rich countries.
Disclosure about these companies
According to a Reuters news report, products from companies such as Nestlé, PepsiCo and Unilever, which are among the most famous food companies in the world, were investigated. An index has been prepared on the ingredients used in these products and their impact on health, that is, their nutritional value. This index has been developed by the ‘Access to Nutrition Initiative’ (ATNI).

In this index, goods sold by these companies in third world countries or poor countries were found to be “less healthy” compared to goods sold by these companies in rich countries or first world countries. Products from a total of 30 companies have been included in this index and have been given a star rating based on their nutritional value, which has been developed by Australia and New Zealand.
What is the food star rating system?
The star rating system developed by Australia and New Zealand for the nutritional value of foods. It is exactly the same that the ‘Bureau of Energy Efficiency’ (BEE) in India has developed for electronic products and their energy efficiency.

In this rating system, the best health products get 5 stars. While those with ratings of more than 3.5 stars are considered average. But what was surprising was that the products sold by these companies in poor countries earned an average rating of 1.8 stars. While in rich countries the rating level was 2.3 stars. The companies have not yet issued any statement regarding this report.
