A 12-year-old boy lost his life due to the negligence of a private doctor in Maniyar police station area of Ballia district of Uttar Pradesh. On Tuesday night, when the health of the boy named Ansh deteriorated, his parents took him to the local private doctor Firoz, where the doctor gave him an injection. As soon as the injection was given, Ansh’s condition worsened and foam started coming out of his mouth. After this, the family took him to the Government Community Health Centre, where doctors declared Ansh dead.
Following Ansh’s death, the family lodged a police complaint on Wednesday. Acting on the complaint, the police arrested Dr. Firoz. Police investigation revealed that Dr Firoz was only licensed to sell medicines but had no right to administer injections.
