Ayodhya. Dr Alok Mandarshan said that role conflict plays an important role in work stress. The main ones are role overload or excess, role oxidation or role below capacity, role incompetence, i.e. role greater than capacity, role stagnation, i.e. getting bored in the role. same role for a long time and role ambiguity, that is, the role is not clear and role invasion. That means role transcendence.
He said that as anxiety or stress due to role conflict increases, self-confidence and work ability also decrease. People with anxious or type A personalities are at high risk. When stress increases, symptoms such as restlessness, nervousness, insomnia, irritability, headache, loss of interest in work and lack of self-confidence may also appear. People with dramatic personalities in the workplace act as a source of stress due to their insensitivity towards their co-workers.
He said that mental conditioning of awareness of one’s own personality, emotional regulation and discriminating understanding towards the personality of co-workers and superiors will make the workplace journey smooth and healthy. Make sure to include entertaining and creative activities in your daily routine and get eight hours of deep sleep. With this lifestyle, the happy hormones serotonin, dopamine, oxytocin and endorphin will circulate through the brain, which keeps both the mind and body healthy. This lifestyle is called happiness. Dr. Alok Mandarshan said these things at the Workplace Stress Management Workshop organized at Paika Limited Auditorium. In the workshop, doubts and questions from the participants were resolved. It was chaired by Sankarshan Shukla and coordinated by Deepali Srivastava.
