Rohtas: On the occasion of Chhath Puja festival, six people drowned while bathing in the Son river in Tilothu and Dinara police station area, of which three died. This accident has created an atmosphere of mourning throughout the area. The first incident took place in the Tilothu police station area. Here Pathra residents Pintu Yadav (35 years), Sukhadi Yadav (40 years), Bablu Kumar (12 years) and Vikas Yadav (25 years) drowned while bathing in the Son river. Vikas Yadav was rescued by local people and volunteers present at the ghat and sent to PHC, where his condition is now stable. He has been sent to Sadar Hospital in Sasaram for better treatment.

Pintu Yadav was also taken out, but doctors at the health center declared him dead. The search for Sukhadi Yadav and his son Bablu Kumar continues. This accident has deeply shocked Virendra Yadav’s family as they have lost two of their children and a grandson.

The second incident took place in the Pipra police station area of ​​Dinara.

Ayush Kumar (18 years), son of Ramji Singh, and Abhishek Kumar (22 years), son of late Rakesh Singh of Turki village of Bhanas police station area, drowned in the Son river. Abhishek had reached his maternal uncle’s house. The bodies of both were taken out and sent to Sasaram Sadar Hospital for autopsy and will be handed over to their families after the autopsy. This incident has generated outrage among his relatives.

The happy atmosphere turned into mourning.

The Tilothu police station chief said that as soon as he received the information, he reached the spot with his team and with the help of local people, they pulled out two people from the river. One of them died and the other was sent to Sasaram Sadar Hospital as his condition was serious. The search for the two missing people continues, for which they have the help of local divers. This tragic incident has shaken the entire region. There is an atmosphere of mourning among the family members and mourning prevails throughout the area. This tragedy has saddened the happiness of the great festival of Chhath Puja.
