How did the mother scene of KGF Chapter 1 come about?
Talking about new ideas, Yash added, ‘Let’s just talk about KGF. Me and Prashant (Prashant Neel, director) were sitting watching the editing of the film and working on it. That famous bun scene was not with the mother. I had to be with another old woman who was crossing the street. I would just pull out my gun and this gun scene would happen. So our executive producer Mr. Rama Rao was sitting there. He suddenly stood up and said that the whole movie is about Rocky’s mother, so why is there no mother in this scene?
Yash said that he and Prashant kept looking at each other because it was a great idea. Yash said, ‘I thought what to do now? Prashant says no problem, I will change this whole block and we will shoot it again. So I convinced the producer that we would have to change this scene.
