Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Thursday took a tough stance against the Congress and the National Conference, condemning their call for restoration of Articles 370 and 35A. The Chief Minister was addressing a program organized by All India Bhojpuri Samaj at Laxman Mela Ground here on the auspicious occasion of Chhath Puja.

According to the PTI, referring to the recent proposal to restore these articles in the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly, it stated that the Congress and its allies want to push the country and the valley back into the fire of terrorism. He said, “They are not ready to see the development of Jammu and Kashmir and the bright future of its youth. The country will never accept their divisive agenda. India’s 140 crore people strongly stand for the unity and integrity of the country.” “We are ready to give a decisive response to any threat.”

CM Yogi Adityanath further warned that if the Congress does not oppose this proposal, it could suffer the same fate as Articles 370 and 35A. The Chief Minister also highlighted the importance of Chhath Puja and underlined the need to protect national unity and integrity.

When we are divided, others rule: Yogi

Adityanath said, “When we are divided by caste and religion, others rule us. When we unite through these festivals, some people living in India are weakening the soul of the country. No true Indian should tolerate this.” “We speak with one voice as a force of 140 crore, no force can challenge India.”

Addressing those gathered in Bhojpuri, Adityanath extended warm wishes to all devotees on the occasion of the Chhath festival, especially acknowledging the devotion of mothers and sisters observing the challenging fast. He recalled that on August 5, 2019, Prime Minister Modi decisively eliminated terrorism in the Kashmir Valley by repealing Articles 370 and 35A.

Adityanath said, “This historic decision passed by Parliament abolished the special status of Jammu and Kashmir from the Constitution. Then the world saw a new and powerful India, peaceful but determined to protect itself.”

‘Congress introduced Article 370 despite Ambedkar’s opposition’

The Chief Minister highlighted India’s commitment to protecting its sovereignty and integrity and declared that the nation is ready to make any sacrifice to protect its identity and unity.
