The Aravali Vihar police station in Alwar, Rajasthan, arrested the accused of raping a girl. The accused met the victim at a wedding ceremony. There a conversation began between the two. They both exchanged each other’s numbers. A few days later, the youth called the victim to meet him at a restaurant and raped her in a separate cabin built there.
Aravali Vihar Police Station said that on October 17, 2024, a girl had lodged an FIR alleging that she was raped by a youth. Showing seriousness in the matter, the police have arrested the accused. The name of the accused is Rajesh Kumar Kohli, 20, a resident of 200 Feet Road.
Police said the accused met the victim at a wedding and a conversation began between the two. They both exchanged numbers and started talking on the phone. The young man gained the victim’s trust. A few days later the conversation turned into friendship. Rajesh then called the victim to a restaurant to meet him. There were separate booths for seating in the restaurant. In that cabin, the accused raped the victim and carried out the act. The accused fled after the incident. The police arrested the accused and he will now be produced before the court.
Police said an FIR was registered in the case based on the victim’s complaint and a medical examination was conducted on the victim. The medical examination confirmed the rape. After this, the police questioned the family members of absconding accused Rajesh. Meanwhile, with the help of the call details, the police arrested Rajesh.
