However, in the midst of the election campaign, BJP ally NCP chief Ajit Pawar has distanced himself from CM Yogi Adityanath’s Batenge to Katenge slogan. When asked about CM Yogi’s election slogan ‘Batenge to Katenge’, Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister and NCP chief Ajit Pawar said that Maharashtra belongs to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, Rajarshi Shahu Maharaj and Mahatma Phule. You can’t compare Maharashtra with other states, people of Maharashtra don’t like this. Pawar further said that the teachings of Shivaji Maharaj were to be carried to all sections of the society.
