Uproar again today in the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly over issue 370, quarrels and quarrels between MLAs.

Srinagar. Today there is once again an uproar in the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly regarding the restoration of Article 370. There was a huge uproar in the Assembly on the fifth day of the session after the PDP MLA from Kupwara displayed a banner regarding the restoration of the article 370. Today again there was a fight between the MLAs. BJP MPs raised slogans. Engineer Rashid’s brother and Awami Ittehad Party MLA Khurshid Ahmed Shaikh was escorted out of the House by marshals. Slogans against the PPD were raised in the assembly. There was also a lot of commotion in the Assembly on Thursday. There was a fight between the MLAs.
A group of MLAs, including the PDP and the People’s Conference (PC), tabled a new resolution in the Assembly on Thursday. In this case, the immediate restoration of Articles 370 and 35A in their original form was required.
The resolution comes a day after the Assembly approved a resolution proposed by the NC. Amid the uproar in the House on Thursday, a new proposal was presented to Speaker Abdul Rahim Rather. The motion was moved by PDP members Waheed Para (MLA Pulwama) and Faiyaz Mir (MLA Kupwara), People’s Conference MLA from Handwara Sajjad Lone, Awami Ittehad Party MLA from Langate Sheikh Khurshid and Independent MLA from Shopian Shabir Kulle.
The resolution said that this House strongly condemns the unconstitutional and unilateral abrogation of Article 370 and Article 35A by the Central Government with the enactment of the Jammu and Kashmir Reorganization Act, 2019. These actions stripped Jammu and Kashmir of its status special and its statehood. This undermined the fundamental guarantees and protections originally granted to the region and its people by the Constitution.
At the same time, the Assembly on Wednesday approved a proposal to restore the special status of Jammu and Kashmir. Political parties in the valley welcomed the proposal, while the main opposition party, the BJP, opposed it.
