Ajit Pawar has distanced himself from Yogi Adityanath’s statement: “If we divide, we will cut.” In response to this statement, he said that some strangers make such statements. People of Maharashtra try to maintain communal harmony. In fact, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath repeated this slogan at an election rally in Washim district in eastern Maharashtra.
Apart from this, Pawar said no one should compare Maharashtra with other states. He said some people from outside come here and give statements, but Maharashtra has never accepted communal division. While talking to media, Ajit Pawar said that Maharashtra belonged to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, Rajarshi Shahu Maharaj and Mahatma Phule. Maharashtra should not be compared with other states, people of Maharashtra do not like this. The teachings of Shivaji Maharaj were to be carried to all sections of the society.
