Moscow: Russian President Vladimir Putin, after praising the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has now declared India worthy of inclusion in the list of global superpowers. This statement by Putin has dismayed countries that seek to dominate and influence the world. Putin has said that India fully deserves to be included in the list of world superpowers, as its economy is currently growing faster than that of any other country. Addressing the plenary session of the ‘Valdai Discussion Club’ in Sochi on Thursday, Putin also said that Russia is developing relations with India in all directions and both countries have deep mutual trust in bilateral relations.

The Russian President said: “With a population of 1.5 billion, the fastest progress among all the world’s economies, an ancient culture and very good prospects for future development, India should certainly be included in the list of superpowers.” Describing India as a great country, he said, “We are developing relations with India in all directions. India is a great country, now the largest country in terms of population with a population of 1.5 billion and also where the population is increasing by one crore every year.

Putin said: India is a world leader in economic progress

President Putin said that India is leading the world in terms of economic progress. “Our vision of where and at what pace our relations will develop is based on current realities,” Putin was quoted as saying by Russian news agency Tass. Our cooperation multiplies every year. Putin said contacts between India and Russia are developing in the security and defense sector. “Look how many types of Russian military equipment are in service in the Indian Armed Forces,” he said. There is a lot of trust in this relationship. We don’t just sell our weapons to India; We also design them together.” Putin cited the BrahMos cruise missile project as an example. “In fact, we have made it (the missile) suitable for use in three environments: in the air, at sea and on land,” he said. These projects, operated for the benefit of India’s security, continue.”

Putin also spoke about India-China relations

The Russian president said: “India-Russia relations are widely known and no one has any problem with them, but these projects demonstrate a high level of mutual trust and cooperation. So we will continue to do this in the near future and I hope we will continue to do this in the distant future as well.” According to the agency, Putin acknowledged some difficulties on the India-China border. However, he said that keeping in mind the future of his nations, intelligent and capable people look for a compromise and will eventually find it (Language)
