The Indian team will play a two-day practice match against the Australian Prime Minister’s XI. After the practice match, a test match between India and Australia will be played from December 6. The practice match is very important for the day-night test match. Now, even before the start of the series against India, former Australian captain Tim Paine has a big responsibility. He has been named coach of the Australian Prime Minister’s XI for a two-day practice match.

Tim Paine’s statement came to light after becoming a coach

Tim Paine said I think any opportunity for a young coach like me to lead the team would be a great opportunity, so I’m looking forward to it. I’m also looking forward to working with some of Australia’s most talented young cricketers, so it will be fun. India will play five Tests on this tour for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. This will be the first time there will be five matches on BGT.

Australia lost BGT twice under the captaincy of Tim Paine.

Tim Paine said that they (India) will play some of their best players and they have some of the best players in the world. Paine, 39, captained Australia during the last two tours of India in which India won the Border-Gavaskar Trophy by the same 2-1 margin. Paine, who played 35 Tests, 35 ODIs and 12 T20 internationals for Australia, played his last international match against India in the final Test of the 2020-21 series in Brisbane in which the host team lost by three wickets at the Gabba.

Tim Paine played for Tasmania in his last first-class match in March 2023 and was also involved as coach of the Adelaide Strikers in the Big Bash League. The Indian team has already been announced for the series against Australia. The first match between both teams will be played on November 22. The Indian team has won the Border-Gavaskar Trophy against Australia for the last four times.
