Haryana State Council of Science Innovation and Technology successfully organized a zonal level science quiz competition at Gandhi Memorial National College in Ambala canton. This event was held under the successful guidance of College Principal Dr. Rohit Dutt and Program Coordinator Dr. Kuldeep Yadav.
Professor Ravi Kant, hailing from Government College, Bhiwani, played the important role of test master in the programme. Renowned scientist Dr. Rahul Taneja of Haryana State Council of Science, Innovation and Technology enhanced the dignity of the program by participating as chief guest.
College Principal Dr. Rohit Dutt welcomed the Chief Guest and Quiz Master from the stage and encouraged all the contest participants and said that participation in Quiz Competition enhances analytical, creative, problem solving, communication and self-confidence of students. Students develop skills such as construction.
Participating in quizzes helps students adopt the habit of innovation from an early age. He congratulated all the participants and encouraged them to enthusiastically participate in future activities as well.
Chief Guest Dr. Rahul Taneja said that Science Quiz Quiz is a great way to get information related to science and technology and also helps in understanding the basic concepts of science. Giving information, Program Coordinator Dr. Kuldeep Yadav said that a total of 75 students, 25 teams from 5 districts of the state of Haryana, Kurukshetra, Kaithal, Ambala, Panchkula and Yamuna Nagar participated in this competition.
Firstly, through selection tests the 8 best teams were selected, who then demonstrated their talent and spirit in a total of 8 rounds. Dr. Kuldeep Yadav further said that today’s first, second and third place winning teams were awarded an amount of Rs 40,000, Rs 30,000 and Rs 20,000 respectively and in future these teams will get the opportunity to participate in the quiz competition. state level I. We also have a golden opportunity to participate.
Dr. Rajesh Saini from the Department of Mathematics of the university successfully conducted the stage. Dr. SK Pandey, Dr. Niyati, Dr. Sujata and Dr. Neha made important contributions in making the program run smoothly. At the end of the programme, the chief guest and the test master were thanked by giving mementos for dedicating their valuable time to attend the program and encourage and guide the participants.
The results of the quiz competition were as follows: RKSD College team from Kaithal district stood first, Government PG College team from Ambala district stood second, MLN College team from Yamunanagar district stood in third place. About 70 faculty students and members of academic and non-academic departments were especially present in this competition.
