Ambala News | Ambalá. Additional Deputy Commissioner Sachin Gupta said that a plan has been prepared to improve the health of malnourished children under Chehra authority in Ambala district. To save the children of this district from malnutrition, a three-day training was also imparted to the officials and employees concerned.
ADC Sachin Gupta addressed a meeting of officials at the ADC office on Friday to review the plans being executed by the Women and Child Development Department.
Earlier, Meeksha Ranga, Program Officer, Department of Women and Child Development, presented her feedback report on achievements of nutrition tracker in the year 2023-24 and reduction in the number of SNP children in nutrition tracker in the year 2024-25. along with other topics.
While giving instructions to the officials, ADC said that efforts should be made to eliminate malnutrition from Ambala district by improving the health of malnourished children in Ambala district. In view of this serious problem, the Chehra Authority has been created in Ambala under the nutrition drive.
He said that three-day training has also been imparted to the officials and employees working under the Chehra Authority. Apart from this, Women and Child Development Department officials will try to improve the dwindling number of children on the nutrition tracker.
To enhance this work and sensitize daughters and women about government plans and the issue of women empowerment, Hamari Laado radio channel has also been launched. Through this channel, government plans can easily reach the common citizen.
ADC said there is a need to improve the PCP NDT Act and gender ratio. Recently, there is a need to further improve the sex ratio under the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao scheme in Ambala district. Concerned departments will take this matter seriously.
He said that under the Pradhan Mantri Matritva Vandana Yojana administered by the department, a benefit of Rs 6,000 will be given to the second daughter also born from April 2022. On this occasion, the project officer of the Department of Women and Child Development, Suman Bala, Kiran Bala, DHEW Surendra Kumar, District Assistant and Accountant Reena and other officials.
